On page 14, what's going on? Is Kazuma telling the girl (this is Aoi right?)she's going to confess to Murasame? Why? I get the feeling that Im missing something here.

i'm pretty sure this scene is where Kazama asked Aoi if she was the one who told Sumika she was at the hospital.

But why the first panel then? Why should she be worried? That throws me off. In another context it would be like she's talking to a rival?

Otherwise what you described makes sense.

Aoi was Ushio's rival. She liked Sumika, remember? Just because she accepted the situation doesn't mean she's totally over it. Ushio decided to talk to Aoi before doing anything out of consideration to her feelings. That's how I looked at it anyway.

Ok, that's what it seemed like.
It threw me off cause I don't recall seeing anywhere in the past that Kazama was aware of Aoi's feelings.
